WPB Seminar Highlighted Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Changes

Tuesday, February 6, 2018

The new tax reform law, H.R.1, “Tax Cuts and Jobs Act” (TCJA), is the largest federal tax law overhaul in 31 years, and it has both good and bad news for taxpayers.

On Tuesday morning, February 6th, Williams, Pitts & Beard, PLLC (WPB) hosted a seminar at the Holiday Inn in Southaven, MS for a room full of local business owners and individuals outlining new rules going into effect as a result of TCJA. The seminar, facilitated by Managing Member Danny Williams was focused on understanding how the new tax law affects everyone now. As Williams was quick to point out, “You don’t want to wait until December to learn”.

The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act reforms will simplify taxpaying for many individual Americans, lower taxes on individuals and businesses, and update the business tax code with the intent to position American corporations to become more globally competitive.

If you were unable to attend and have questions regarding the new rules, please contact your Tax Preparer at WPB today. Our representatives will be glad to answer any questions you may have.
